Send some data to the splash screen.

ssCore.Splash.sendData({data:"the data can be anything"});

This is an example of how to retrieve data in a Flash 9 (or newer) splash screen SWF that uses AS3. This code should be added to your splash screen SWF.

import flash.external.ExternalInterface;

function onSplashData(o:Object)
{
// send the data back to the main SWF
    fscommand("splash8", o.data);
}

if (ExternalInterface.available)
{
    ExternalInterface.addCallback('onSplashData', onSplashData);
}

This is an example of how to retrieve data in a Flash 8 (or newer) splash screen SWF that uses AS2. This code should be added to your splash screen SWF.

import flash.external.ExternalInterface;

function onSplashData(o:Object)
{
// send the data back to the main SWF
    fscommand("splash8", o.data);
}

if (ExternalInterface.available)
{
    ExternalInterface.addCallback('onSplashData', this, onSplashData);
}

This is an example of how to retrieve data in a Flash 7 (or older) splash screen SWF. This code should be added to your splash screen SWF.

_level0.Splash = { data:"" };
_level0.Splash.watch("data", onSplashData);

function onSplashData(property, oldval, newval)
{
// send the data back to the main SWF
    fscommand("splash", newval);
}
