ssCore.HTTP.request

Allows you to provide data that should be sent with a POST request.

Availability:

First available in version 3.0 build 2039.

Input Parameters:

data - Field/value pairs in URL encoded format. Each field/value pair should be separated by a "&" character. Do not include leading or trailing "&" characters in the request buffer.

Output Parameters:

No output parameters.

Asynchronous Mode:

When this method is called asynchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is passed to the specified callback function.

ssCore.HTTP.request( paramsObject [, callbackParamsObject] [, errorParamsObject] );

Synchronous Mode:

When this method is called synchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is returned to the caller immediately.

var returnObject = ssCore.HTTP.request( paramsObject );

Notes:

The request buffer is only used for "POST" requests, it may be ignored for "GET" requests. The request buffer will be sent with "GET" requests but you can't depend on the request buffer being processed by your server when you use the "GET" method.

There is a test CGI script at www.northcode.com/cgi-bin/test-cgi.pl you can use to test with. It will return everything you send to it via "GET" (on the URL) or "POST" (on the URL and in the request buffer).

Examples:

ssCore.HTTP.request({data:"id=10&search=test&cat=8"});
