ssCore.HTTP.protocol

Set the protocol for communication with the host server.


Availability:

First available in version 3.0 build 2039.


Input Parameters:

protocol - Valid values include: HTTP,HTTPS.


Output Parameters:

No output parameters.


Asynchronous Mode:

When this method is called asynchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is passed to the specified callback function.

ssCore.HTTP.protocol( paramsObject [, callbackParamsObject] [, errorParamsObject] );


Synchronous Mode:

When this method is called synchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is returned to the caller immediately.

var returnObject = ssCore.HTTP.protocol( paramsObject );


Notes:

The HTTP plugin will not "fail over" from HTTPS to HTTP or vice-versa as programs like Internet Explorer. The plugin will select the "HTTP" protocol by default. You must select the correct protocol for the server and resource you are trying to access.
