ssCore.FileSys.explore

Locates explorer.exe (Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer) and uses it to open the specified directory.


Availability:

First available in version 3.0 build 2039.


Input Parameters:

path - A fully qualified path to a directory. This parameter supports monikers.


Output Parameters:

No output parameters.


Asynchronous Mode:

When this method is called asynchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is passed to the specified callback function.

ssCore.FileSys.explore( paramsObject [, callbackParamsObject] [, errorParamsObject] );


Synchronous Mode:

When this method is called synchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is returned to the caller immediately.

var returnObject = ssCore.FileSys.explore( paramsObject );


Notes:

This command provides a simple way to provide CD or HD folder browsing capabilities to your users. If you select an executable file (EXE, BAT, etc) you will be prompted to "download" the file as if you were trying to run the file from a browser.
