ssCore.FTP.getLastResponse

The last response from the FTP server.


Availability:

First available in version 3.0 build 2039.


Input Parameters:

None.


Output Parameters:

result - FTP server response string as defined in section 4.2 of RFC 959.


Asynchronous Mode:

When this method is called asynchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is passed to the specified callback function.

ssCore.FTP.getLastResponse( paramsObject [, callbackParamsObject] [, errorParamsObject] );


Synchronous Mode:

When this method is called synchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is returned to the caller immediately.

var returnObject = ssCore.FTP.getLastResponse( paramsObject );


Notes:

The variable identified by result will contain the FTP server response string (as defined in section 4.2 of RFC 959), if one is available.

The FTP server and the FTP plugin communicate at a lower level than the plugin actually exposes. In most cases you don't need to know about FTP result codes. However, when you receive an error from one of the FTP commands that you don't understand, it can often be helpful to see the reason the error was returned i.e. the last response from the FTP server.

It is also important to note that the last response is not always an error. You can see the last responses from the server after issuing any FTP command.
