ssCore.ADO.move

Move the current row pointer, and return row(s).

Availability:

First available in version 3.0 build 2039.

Input Parameters:

direction - Type of move to perform. Valid values include: First,Last,Next,Previous,To,By.

number - [Optional] - For "To", the number of the record to move to. For "By", the delta by which to move. Records start at 0. Default value is 0.

Output Parameters:

result - A string which contains the contents of the new row.

adoError - An ADO specific error message.

Asynchronous Mode:

When this method is called asynchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is passed to the specified callback function.

ssCore.ADO.move( paramsObject [, callbackParamsObject] [, errorParamsObject] );

Synchronous Mode:

When this method is called synchronously, a return object containing the output parameters is returned to the caller immediately.

var returnObject = ssCore.ADO.move( paramsObject );

Notes:

A failure with an error code of "8" (end-of-file) or "9" (beginning-of-file) can be interpreted as an indication that you have reached the beginning or end of the open table; this should not be considered a fatal error because this will be encountered during normal data processing operations.

Examples:

The following example moves the row pointer to the first record and displays the contents of the first record in the SWF Studio Trace tab.

var return_obj = ssCore.ADO.move({direction:"First"});

ssDebug.trace(return_obj.result);
