I am using the expire tab to expire my application after 30 days then the user has to enter a registration code.

I want to show how many days are left before expiring.

I tried using

var return_obj = ssCore.Security.getExpiryDate();

ssDebug.trace(return_obj.result);
ssDebug.trace(return_obj.year);
ssDebug.trace(return_obj.month);
ssDebug.trace(return_obj.day);
ssDebug.trace(return_obj.hour);
ssDebug.trace(return_obj.minute);
ssDebug.trace(return_obj.second);

but that returns undefined. Is there a simple way to just check how many days are remaining, or even to report the day it will expire?

which SWF Studio version are you using?
Is your SWF in (at least) Flash 8 format or do you use the "upgrade main movie to flash 8" feature?
Do you have

ssCore.init();
ssDefaults.synchronousCommands = true;

in place before you try to call getExpiryDate ?
