Is there a tool I could use to find the mx server?
firstname.lastname@example.org = whats the mxserver info???
fscommand("Arg", "email@example.com"); // from
fscommand("Arg", "firstname.lastname@example.org"); // to
fscommand("Arg", "in2.magma.ca"); // server
fscommand("Arg", "Hello"); // subject
fscommand("Arg", "testing the SMTPSend plugin"); // body
The MXFind tool I wrote is still online, you can use that to find the MX records associated with the domain you're interested in.
You can call it like this:
And it should return something like this:
MX Find Results for: gmail.com
gmail.com preference = 10, mail exchanger = alt1.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com
gmail.com preference = 10, mail exchanger = alt2.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com
gmail.com preference = 50, mail exchanger = gsmtp163.google.com
gmail.com preference = 50, mail exchanger = gsmtp183.google.com
gmail.com preference = 5, mail exchanger = gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com
And you can use any of the returned MX records.
