I am trying to place a shortcut on the users desktop that when clicked, launches a browser and goes to a url that I specify. I have been able to place the icon on the desktop, but am struggling with the launching of the browser. Below is my code that obviously doesn't work.

[CODE][
on (release) {
ssCore.FileSys.createShortcut({shortcutFile:"desktop://Warren CAT.lnk", description:"Warren CAT.", source:"ssCore.Shell.invoke:http://www.warrencat.com/", IconFile:"tempdir://caticon.ico"});
}
/CODE]

I haven't tested this yet, but my first thought is to just use the URL as the source. A SWF Studio command will definitely not work there since Windows won't understand it.

Create a plain text file with an extension of "url" (you can do this with FileSys.writeToFile) and put something like this in it. This will definitely work with IE and works when dropped on FireFox so it should work if FireFox is your default browser as well.

[InternetShortcut]
URL=www.northcode.com
