Hi

I just want to be sure I am catching this correctly...

if an email doesn't send (using the email plugin) for whatever reason, bad ISP, timeout, etc. will the returned message always have ERROR in it, or will it have something else depending on the reason for not sending?

I am trying to test it, but the only thing I can change to test it is enter the wrong mail server, and it shows the ERROR in the message.

thanks.

D

Are you looking at Error.description? If so you can just check Error.code to make sure it's 0 (for OK) instead.

All of the possible error strings that can be returned from the plugin are:

"The Winsock library won't load."
"No DNS server entry found."
"Can't access the DNS server. Possibly invalid entry."
"Can't access the mail server. Possibly invalid entry."
"DNS server failed to respond in time."
"Mail server rejected. Possibly invalid entry."
"Recipient name/address rejected. Possibly bad formatting."
"Sender name/address rejected. Possibly bad formatting."
"Subject rejected. Possibly bad formatting."
"Extra Headers rejected. Possibly bad formatting."
"Message body rejected. Possibly bad formatting."
"Send failed."
